Composition:

Tylvalosin (as tartrate) ........... 62.5% w/w

Indications:

Kemlosin-62.5% in indicated for prevention and treatment of Mycoplasmosis (Mycoplasma gallisepticum, M. synoviae and other Mycoplasma species) and diseases associated with Clostridium perfringens (enteritis resulting in wet litter syndrome and cholangiohepatitis) in chickens and pullets. Kemlosin-62.5% is also indicated for prevention and treatment of Mycoplasmosis (Mycoplasma gallisepticum) in pheasants.

Additionally it also has high activity against Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale (ORT) of poultry

Dosage;

For use in driking water.

Treatment and prevention of Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD) caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum & Mycoplasma synoviae:

- As a therapeutic treatment of CRD use in water at 20-25 mg activity/kg bw for 3 days, normally achieved by dissolving 40mg per 200 litres of drinking water.

- To prevent clinical signs of CRD in Mycoplasma positive birds use in water at 20-25 mg activity/kg for first 3 days of life. This may be followed by 10-15 mg activity/kg bw for 3-4 days (normally 40gm per 400 litre) during times of stress such as vaccination, change of feed and/or for 3-4 days each month.

Treatment and prevention of diseases associated with Clostridium perfringens:

- To prevent clinical signs use 25mg activity/kg 3-4 days for first 3 days of life followed by 10-15 mg activity/kg bw 3-4 days starting 2 days before the expected outbreak. For treatment use 25mg/kg bw for 3-4 days.

Synergy with Tetracyckines*:

- Synergy of tylvalosin and tetracyclines has been shown and programmes in the field combining tetracyclines and Kemlosin-62.5% at lower doses have proven effectiveness.
